Foreword

The University of Judicial Sciences and Administrative Services is a state university that admits students via nationwide university exam on an annual basis. This university is the only specialized university in the field of law. Law is one of the most important academic disciplines in the field of humanities and significance has always been attached to this field of study. One can find no governmental or non-governmental organization or institution to be needless of legal services. Important jobs such as being a judge, a lawyer or being in charge of a notary public office requires academic studies in the field of law. The University of Judicial Sciences and Administrative Services has been established for the sake of training the needed human resources for the judiciary particularly training judges. The following academic disciplines are taught at the university:

1- B.A., Judicial Sciences;

2- M.A., Judicial Sciences;

3- M.A. degree covering 16 disciplines;

4- Ph.D., Private Law, Criminal Law and Criminology

Background

The Faculty of Judicial Sciences and Administrative Services commenced its activities in 1982 and was promoted to the status of the University of Judicial Sciences and Administrative Services in 2010. Outstanding academicians have played role in this university offering training to students making the necessary preparations for their judicial responsibilities. More than 5,000 students have graduated so far the majority of whom have become judges, faculty members, members of parliament, lawyers or are in charge of notary public offices.
